The MP5 is inspired by the Faberge Blue Serpent Clock Egg, which was presented in 1887 by Tsar Alexander III to his wife, Empress Maria Fedorovna. The barrel, Serpent clip, and other metal parts are fashioned from .925 sterling silver. The barrel is guilloched for a remarkably understated and beautiful luster beneath smooth enamel as the pen turns under the light while you write. Each MP5 is a limited production of 188 pens in each color and is available as a fountain pen fitted with an 18k gold nib or as a rollerball/ballpoint convertible.
