Michel Perchin Mp5 Red Fountain

The MP 5 Fountain pen was inspired by Faberge's Blue Serpent Clock Egg. This piece was presented to Empress Maria Fedorovna in 1887, by her husband Tsar Alexander III. During a visit to Russia, Consuelo Vanderbilt, the Duchess of Marlborough saw the Imperial Blue Serpent Clock Egg. Shortly thereafter, Faberge was commissioned to recreate the design, and it was completed in 1902 in Pink and Gold. This piece was the only egg to be made for an American.
